Scholarships can go a long way in helping students cover college costs, but being successful in the scholarship application process can take some work. In this session you’ll learn to build and work your own scholarship application plan. You’ll also learn about and try out different scholarship websites, learn how to best use a scholarship information tracker, and learn to avoid some of the challenges of the scholarship process. This comprehensive program trains layperson rescuers in CPR techniques and the use of an AED for infants, children, and adults, along with basic first aid for common injuries. Led by an instructor, the course includes videos and hands-on skills training. Participants should bring lunch and wear comfortable clothing for floor work. Upon completion, a digital certificate valid for two years will be issued from First Response Training International. The program meets OSHA and ILCOR standards and is accepted by the U.S. Coast Guard.

This course is offered for beginning and intermediate photographers. Digital concepts, camera functions common to most photographic instruments, exposure, depth of field, composition, and solutions to typical camera challenges will be discussed in this fun and energetic class. Small weekly assignments will be given to help students understand the class content through their own explorations.

In this introductory class participants will receive an overview of the safety issues, techniques used, and a review of the proper tools needed for canning. We will also make a cold packed, water bath batch of pickles flavored with your favorite spices.
