Bowenwork is safe and appropriate for all ages and levels of physical activity.  It can be done through clothing.  If you would like to learn a safe way to promote wellness in yourself and others, this introductory Bowenwork class may be right for you.  The class fee includes a lab fee and  manual with photos and anatomical illustrations designed with care for the needs of beginners.  Class is limited to first 6 registrations.

Composting 101

Creating a Terrarium

Bring spring indoors by making a miniature garden under glass.  Terrariums are fun to make and easy to grow.  You can bring in your own glass container or pick one from our collection for a small fee.  Make sure you can fit your hand through opening of container. 

Materials fee:  $20, paid directly to instructor, covers all materials for 1 terrarium.

Creative Dramatics for Teachers & Librarians

This fun and interactive workshop is designed to teach both the adventurous AND“not so” dramatic (K-8) teachers and children’s librarians how to turn stories intoimprovised plays! Creative Dramatics helps children achieve and succeed, and gainconfidence by expressing themselves artistically. Watch hidden talents surface asthey “act out” stories. Upon completion, earn CEHs toward recertification(K-8 teachers).  No class April 18th.

Crochet a Beaded Bracelet

his pretty bracelet is fun and easy to make. Just take a few beads, some decorative cord, a crochet hook and in short order you have a fun and funky bracelet. Beginner Crochet experience preferred, but not necessary. A great way to use up those mismatched beads that you have left over from other projects. Materials fee of $20 payable to instructor at class.

Dementia Conversations

This program is designed especially for working adults with a family member or close friend beginning to experience Alzheimer’s disease or another dementia. Anne will share tips for addressing the difficult discussions related to dementia including medical visits, the decision to stop driving, and making legal or financial plans. Topics covered will include: the need to plan ahead, building a care team, connecting to resources for all involved, and reaching out to others living with similar challenges.

Doggie Tune Up

Could you take your dog more places if it was better behaved?  Would your home life improve?  Without the distraction of your dog being present, come learn how to train your dog by using a combination of dog psychology and positive reinforcement.  We will discuss problem behaviors and how to correct them.  Rosie, a certified therapy dog, will be on hand to demonstrate fun tricks like getting a tissue when I sneeze.  DO NOT BRING YOUR DOG TO CLASS.

Valerie Nardone has taken two dogs through Canine Good Citizen training and one dog through Therapy Dog training.  She is the owner of Never Sometimes Dog Training which provides individualized dog training in your home.
