Anne will share tips for addressing the difficult discussions related to dementia including medical visits, the decision to stop driving, and making legal or financial plans. Topics covered will include: the need to plan ahead, building a care team, connecting to resources for all involved, and reaching out to others living with similar challenges.

Doggie Tune Up

Could you take your dog more places if it was better behaved?  Would your home life improve?  Without the distraction of your dog being present, come learn how to train your dog by using a combination of dog psychology and positive reinforcement.  We will discuss problem behaviors and how to correct them.  Rosie, a certified therapy dog, will be on hand to demonstrate fun tricks like getting a tissue when I sneeze.  DO NOT BRING YOUR DOG TO CLASS.

Valerie Nardone has taken two dogs through Canine Good Citizen training and one dog through Therapy Dog training.  She is the owner of Never Sometimes Dog Training which provides individualized dog training in your home.
