Adult and Child Emergency Care Course

This comprehensive program trains layperson rescuers in CPR techniques and the use of an AED for infants, children, and adults, along with basic first aid for common injuries. Led by an instructor, the course includes videos and hands-on skills training. Participants should bring lunch and wear comfortable clothing for floor work. Upon completion, a digital certificate valid for two years will be issued from First Response Training International. The program meets OSHA and ILCOR standards and is accepted by the U.S. Coast Guard. 

Material Fee: $15 (Paid to instructor at class)         

Fundamentals of Photography

This course is offered for beginning and intermediate photographers. Digital concepts, camera functions common to most photographic instruments, exposure, depth of field, composition, and solutions to typical camera challenges will be discussed in this fun and energetic class. Small weekly assignments will be given to help students understand the class content through their own explorations.

Beginning Canning - Make Your Own Pickles

Join Paul Dest, Executive Director of the Wells Reserve for an eye-opening hike of the Orris Falls Conservation Area from 10am to 1pm! As informative as this land is unique, the hike will feature discussion of landscape conservation and the role beavers play in developing wetlands. 

All hikes are open to the public and free of charge to GWRLT members. $5 donation per person or $10 donation per family is suggested for non-members. Paid at hike location.
